Saw my first outdoor "festive" lights two weeks ago!
Have never understood why people feel the need to do this, some sort of "look at me"* syndrome?

I've always loved looking at houses all decorated. Sometimes I think the amount of houses decorated is a good indicator of the general mood of the population. I can't prove it, but it is a hypotheses of mine.
