Impressions of my first week

Since I've been here about 10 days, I thought I'd give y'all a list of the top five things I like about Nashville.....so far:

5. They bag the customer's groceries (now, if they'd only pump my gas for me).

4. Music, music, music....and some hotties that play the music. (Saw one crossing Broadway the other night....long black hair....scruff....hawwwwwwwwt!)

3. People seem surprised that I'm from the North....because I AM NICE! HA! (Well, my own students tell me I couldn't be mean if I tried.)

2. It doesn't take me an hour to drive everywhere, and I don't have to fill up my gas tank every three days.

And the number one thing I like about Nashville so far. . .

1. Wyatt's Philly accent is much less annoying the farther away I am.

Seriously, I feel a calm here, that I don't feel back home....stress or no stress (and I seem to be smiling a lot lately).

They don't bag groceries for customers up North? I didn't know that. Around here, they even take them out to your car. (I have yet to find one that will follow me home and unpack them and put them up though)

Keep smiling RT!

Once in a great while someone MIGHT bag groceries. Customers pretty much do it themselves; otherwise, the cashiers slow down the checking-out process.

Is that what the cashier meant by asking me if I needed any help, today? I thought maybe I was a little flushed or something. Ha! (Actually, my legs were feeling really strong and I wasn't wiped out for once.)

Oh, I plan on keeping smiling. God provided this opportunity and I'm going to enjoy it.

We have "sackers" here, too, who also do "carry out." The cashiers at Wally World just bag it - we gotta haul it out.

Dern glad to hear you are having a great time. Please carry on!

I am glad you are having a good time,
It sounds like a much needed thing.

I remember when I had to use a cane a few years ago that it was all I could do to stand in line after shopping, waiting for the cashier to do his or her job. I was in visible pain and no one offered help and the bagging went rather slow, too.

If I come back!

You, drive over the bridge? HA!

Much needed. Wish I could do more. Wanted to go to the Ryman tonight, but they were sold out. Lack of planning on my part, though. After the holiday weekend, I'll start back up.
