It all adds up: Week 2

I lost another pound! Considering that I ate my weight in pita chips and that I was sabotaged a few times, I'd say that's an accomplishment.

One thing I did last week that I didn't do this week was exercise. I deal with fatigue once in a while and this was one of those times. I'm taking B12 (not Clemens-style) and I'm eating a lot of fruits and veggies, so it probably has more to do with my thyroid combined with work stress. I'm going to have to learn to "play through the 'pain.'" So, to do that I've decided to join a gym, even if it means I only start out really slow. I checked out a few places this week (online) and it looks like my local YMCA will be the winner. It is in a nice spot, on my way home and it has hours I can function within. It has a pool (eventually I'd like to swim and do water classes), kickboxing, boxing, a walking track, Tai Chi, the usual equipment, and personal trainers. It will be low-key, and I'll likely be one of the youngest people there. Heh.

My goals for this week:
1. Join the "Y."
2. Eat a little better.
3. Be patient with myself.

Great job, RT, every little bit counts and it all adds up. Keep up the good work this week, I'm pulling for you!

Sounds like a good plan. You cannot afford to let Wyatt get too far ahead of you.

Just remember to pace yourself. A sprinter (Wyatt) may be out of gas when the end draws near.

WooHoo!!!!!! Good for you! I will post mine in a bit. I have to go to the gym to weigh b/c I don't own a scale.

Mrs. Grim:
It will all add up and as I said at the beginning of all of this, it takes my body a good three weeks to a month to respond to my efforts. I have underlying health issues that make it harder for me to lose weight. Exercise will definitely help.

DBA:
I'll just keep going out to lunch with Wyatt and make sure he eats his weight in greasy, fattening food. ;P

Admiral:
Oh, he's got plenty of gas, trust me.

Oh...metaphorical gas.

Dragon Lady:
A drop of water in the ocean, though.

SoHos:
Good luck! :)

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND SUPPORT. I'M A LITTLE BUMMED, BUT I'LL LOSE MORE. AT LEAST I DIDN'T GO IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

Good job RT! Don't worry about Wyatt, he'll slow down, he don't got no stamina! HA

I'm sure there is another joke in there about his wife saying the same thing. But then again, your use of double negatives states that he does have stamina.

It didn't get by me that time.

I'm just impatient to be skinny and boodiful. Well, hopefully not vomit inducing.

I just want it all gone, now. Now.

Tired of watching life pass by me.
