Cancel the coronation.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Hillary's staff meetings after the past few days. First, she comes in third place at what was supposed to be romp over her opponents in Iowa, and then at a Democratic dinner in New Hampshire, she's given a dose of castor oil by Obama's supporters as she delivers her tired, old spiel:
"Hillary was twice booed. The first time was when she said she has always and will continue to work for "change for you. The audience, particularly from Obama supporters (they were waving Obama signs) let out a noise that sounded like a thousand people collectively groaning. The second time came a few minutes later when Clinton said: 'The there are two big questions for voters in New Hampshire. One is: who will be ready to lead from day one? The second,' and here Clinton was forced to pause as boos from the crowd mixed with cheers from her own supporters. 'Is who can we nominate who will go the distance against the Republicans?'"
Imagine being a public figure who has spent years (without conscience) stepping on people, lying, wearing mask after mask to "fit" the moment as you pander to every group you feel will get you to your goal--only to be disliked by millions of people because you are a cold, ruthless wanker. Heh. That's gotta suck.

Can't say she didn't bring this on herself. Frankly, if she can't choose wisely for her campaign staff and can't keep her campaign focused, how would Hill be as President? She's supposed to be an experienced pro at this. I mean she has met with world leaders and she assisted Bill, right? Right?

This is going to be a really interesting run to the nominations for both parties. Despite the angst I feel about the choices available on both sides of the aisle, it is neat to see people fed up enough to not stick with the same tired people giving the same tired speeches, while using the same tired hand gestures and catch phrases. (Can we please retire, "Let me be clear"?)

After we whittle through the present herd of donkeys and elephants, could we please have some real candidates?

The Fat Lady is on stage warming up. I think she is going to sing soon.
