I wonder if this guy was flushed with fear?

I think this might be an endorsement for purchasing a cell phone and chucking the bachelor life.

David Leggat, the guy in charge of the wine at his bowling club, got stuck in the bathroom for four days (door knob broke).

It was a tale of survival:
"I had nothing with me to eat so I sipped cold tap water to keep me going.

"I did a survival course once and knew I had to keep my feet warm, so I kept running a basin of hot water and putting my feet in to send the heat through my body."
Mr. Leggat had a sense of humor about it:
"At least there was a toilet to use. The only thing I regret is not getting trapped behind the bar."
A few things stand out to me about this story.
1. It's funny.
2. I realize the guy is single, as it states in the story, but did no one miss the poor guy for four days? That's a freakin' shame. I hope if I ever go missing for four days that someone misses me (who am I kidding).
3. Bathrooms have great acoustics; I wonder if he sang to entertain himself. Who am I kidding? He is a retired English teacher--he probably spouted lines of poetry and Shakespeare.

Ha! This is the funniest story I've seen today. Sounds like a new weight loss plan.

Wow, that's about as bad as locking yourself in the car.

I'll have to remember that plan.

Flushed; Heh.

Simply unbelievable.

Four days and no missed him. That is as sad as the story is funny.

I am glad he used his "Head". (As in Latrine-Marine Corps.) OK that was lame.

Yeah, I'm a bit troubled that no one noticed him missing. I'm an only child, not super close to my extended family, and I'd hate to think that when I'm old I wouldn't be missed.

That's sad.

The story is really funny, though.

What is even more amusing is that the next fixture at the club is not until May 1st 2008!
