A blog-thing for a blah day

You Should Play the Guitar

You're very independent - both in spirit and in the way you learn.
You can teach yourself almost anything, even if it makes your fingers bleed.

You're not really the type to sit patiently through a music lesson - or do things by the book.
It's more your style to master the fundamentals and see where they take you.

Highly creative and a bit eclectic, you need a wide range of music to play.
You could emerge as a sensitive songwriter... or a manic rock star.

Your dominant personality characteristic: being rebellious

Your secondary personality characteristic: tenacity

Ditto here. Does this mean I have to learn to play the guitar now? :-)

I've been toying with the idea. I'm so busy, though.

Ditto for me too. I played in grade school for a couple of years, and played in church for the guitar mass every week. I took a beginner's class a couple of years ago with my son, after not picking up a guitar in 30 years. I really need to practice, which is the one thing I was never good at. It was just not a priority. I'm considering taking up piano now, we have one and Little Grim is starting to take an interest in it.

They gave us free lessons in music class in high school, but I only took it for half a year. I did really well, and picked it up rather quick, but I never had the opportunity to keep playing. You'd think I would have picked up the skill along the way. I was friends with nothing but musicians for at least half of my life. I was too busy listening to them practice or play in clubs...didn't want to ruin their fun.
