Se habla idiot?

Well, folks, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco is at it again! This time they've decided that it is ok for trucks to go from Mexico into the United States. As it stands, Canada already enjoys full trucking privileges within the United States. I don't think either, given our climate, should be allowed.

I wouldn't mind so much if we lived in Mother Goose land where good always prevails and evil gets its due. However, we have serious security concerns. We have threats that can enter from either border and through our airports. We don't need to hand them the keys to destroy our way of life, too. What is wrong with requiring that trucks be unloaded at the border and the contents placed in our own trucks? To be honest, I think the backgrounds and records of our truck drivers should be under more scrutiny.

The allowance of trucks to come into the United States from Mexico is a result of NAFTA. Clinton signed on to it in 1994, but did not follow through on the Mexico to U.S. trucking plan. Ummm...where was the 9th Circuit to enforce things like they are doing now? A tribunal has decided that Bush must allow trucking and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has supported that order, despite objections.

Need more proof that liberals are fueled by opposition and really don't care about our way of life and safety?

I agree with your main premise, but you imply that the courts are forcing Bush to go along. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is what Bush wants. It makes me sick.

Either way, I don't like it. Our borders are a mess and will only get worse.
