Less than 24 hours to go...

It all begins tomorrow!

I can't wait to hear Jim Jackson's first goalgasm. Heh.

THIS IS SWEET:

This is making me really happy and well, kind of...is it getting warm in here?

Remember when we could chant "Brownie" when the game was getting chippy? Remember the coach obliging by sending Brownie out to make us happy? Yeah. Miss those days.

Go Flyers! Looking forward to seeing some old-time hockey this season. I love watching the old films with the Broad Street Bullies, with no helmets. I remember decorating the neighbor's old station wagon when we won the cup (I forget which year), and driving all over town screaming out the windows. What a night.

I was about six or seven when they won. I remember seeing the parade on television and asking why everyone was crowding around the bus. "The Flyers won the Stanley Cup," my grandmom told me. The parade route was crazy.

I've been known to cry when the Flyers get knocked out of the playoffs.

Woooo hooooo!!!!!! Hey, if you can't beat 'em, pound them with a few punches! ;P

I saw news footage of them running around Eastern High School's track today for their fitness test. Man...I ended up teaching at the wrong school. Dang.

1. I love how when you see #10 fignting in the bottom clip, you say to yourself, "I know that's not LeClair.

The last minute of the clip is the Sens/Flyers game that broke the record for most penalty minutes in a game. I was there AND I have the whole game on tape.

DROP THE PUCK!!

Yeah...I was, "I know that's not Marmaduke."

Umm...you will notice, however, Roddy has a good scene. Yummy.

Great to hear Ripple again.

One of my fave Grateful Dead tracks.

When I was 15 or so I used to hang out with a bunch of Dead Heads. I was the only metal head. They called me "Metal RT (used my real name, of course)." Three of them were kids I went to Christian school with, and one of them was in my class and her brother liked me, so I spent lots of time with them all. Mellow, philosophical group...good stuff, though....VERY good stuff (wink, wink). We all lost touch after a couple of years. They moved to PA and they all had dreams of following the Dead from place to place. I can only wonder. The girl I was classmates with used to play piano so, when we were feeling pretty good, she'd play Beatles songs and I'd sing.

Unique bunch.
