Sounds a little weird, eh? But hey, we all have words that we just love, whether it be a catch phrase or just one simple word.
My favorite word is utterly. I don't use it much, but it such a word of great "impact." I am utterly sullen. I am utterly in love. I utterly hate that person! It is the end all, be all...the ultimate in expressing an emotion.

I use the word "cool" so much (see my comment in the next post, for instance) that it must be my favorite word. Actually, it'd be more accurate to say it's my favorite non-swear word, based on frequency of use, anyway.
Cool, dude. (Dude is my second favorite word...especially when my male students exhibit idiotic behavior...I just say, "Duuuuuude, what are you thinking?"
Am I allowed to post that word here? It starts with "f" and rhymes with "duck" and it's not a firetruck.
It's so versatile, it's a noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, prefix, suffix. You being a teacher and all should appreciate that.
If you want a non-dirty word, it's probably "Stupid." I like to call people that. It's usually accurate too.
FIAR: I like "the word," too. I like how you can insert it for emphasis: like when people say, "I want a mocha fucking frappaccino!" Or... Like when I am driving down 295 and some f-tard comes off of an exit and merges at 50 mph the one time I am not in the middle lane. I tend to call them stupid f-n m-frs.
I especially like the verb, but that is an action.
I ended a conversation about intolerant hypocrites that I work with (with another co-worker) by calling them fuckers. I just don't use the words on my blog, because I don't want to offend any visitors. Keep in mind, none of which are family or friends...none (except for two) know that I have a blog. They all know my b'ness....too much of it. Well all that and I try not to curse too much any more...I mostly curse when I grade and when I drive.
