Back to Reality

I received a partial shipment of books today. Because of other things I've had to do this summer, I haven't had the opportunity to finish my summer reading. I have thirteen books to read. I began the first one this morning--Cannery Row. I like it so far. Except for one book that I read seven years ago, I've never read any of the books I'm reading. Yipeee!

At least this year, I do not have a fog settled in my brain, so maybe I will be able to read all of the books by Sept. 4th. I used to read a 100 or more pages a night in college...maybe I can do it for the next couple of weeks. Well, at least I love to read.

*I might explain the foggy brain some other time; in case I don't, I became really ill two years ago, and I am slowly but surely getting my wits back about me.

Have a good day, today! :) Oh, and sorry about the obnoxious yellow lettering in the previous posts. eeek!

Because of school all I get to read is basically text books and what I read online. When I do break down and read something with a cover, my reading periods are so broken up that it doesn't make sense.

Same with me. I'll be teaching five different texts at one time throughout the year with each class. Two of my classes have the usual multiple texts found in English classes. I do 6-7 full books/plays/epic poems with one honors class alone. By time summer comes...I'm done. But, I've really enjoyed reading again since I've been feeling better. Always a good thing. I loved my psychology classes while I was in college-how's yours going?
