So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

We can choose how He'd like us to live or we can choose to be in conflict with His will.
Most times, especially these days, I try to choose things that will please God.
I have to give him my everyday things, hopes, dreams, talents, and my will. Otherwise, I am bound to just screw it all up, royally.
Trust me, I mess things up enough to know I am quite limited in my ability to do things apart from God. I'm far from perfect, and I am very grateful that God puts up with me.
