Sunday "Song": Mother's Day !

A woman in labor has pain,
Because her hour has come.
But after she has given birth,
She no longer remembers the anguish,
For joy that her child has been born into the world.
= = =
She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all."

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the LORD,
She shall be praised.
John 16.21; Proverbs 31.27-30

I will probably never know what it is like to be a mother, and to be honest, when I was out yesterday and someone wished me a happy Mother's Day, I felt a twinge of hurt. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be honored with the blessing of giving life and encouraging its growth physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

I don't know how you all do it, and I commend you for it.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I am grateful for my mom. Any other mom would have given up on me and might have disowned me at some point. My mom didn't. She just kept supporting me and never listened to those that thought I was good-for-nothing. She has always said that she could trust me and that I'd come around to see God's way on things. I seriously don't know how she did it. Most importantly, she raised me to know God and to know that Jesus is my only hope, my only way to salvation, and to know that I am loved by One much bigger than anyone on Earth.

Now, if I could just get her to stop bringing home Ring Dings.

I wouldn't want to be a single mom, at least not by choice.

I'm usually o.k. with it. I just happen to be around a lot of pregnant people at the moment.

Mom's are definitely there for the ugly and the beauty of life.
