I LOVE IRON MAN!

Really. I want his babies. Well...Stark's. Confused yet? Hey, every good guy superhero has his everyday persona.

With that said, here are my impressions of the movie without giving away the yummy goodness.

1. Don't take small children (or at least preview it before you do). Let's just say there are some violent scenes and scenes that teens can handle with the parents, but I'm not sure parents would want to explain those same scenes with the 13 and under crowd. There were a few little kids and I could see their parents squirm a little.

Another note, there is a tinge of the political; however, if you allow yourself to put that aside (it is Hollywood, after all), you will see by the end of the movie that the plot twist will make things more clear and all will be well.

2. Robert Downey, Jr. has always been a favorite actor of mine. A buff, goatee'd Robert Downey, Jr. made me very happy (giddy and well, I'm not going there)! His acting is awesome, even in the awkward spots where the writing isn't the best. Even though some of the writing is awkward, you're there to see the action, which gets better and better as the movie progresses.

3. Not being a comic book aficionado, I would have to say that the movie does keep things a bit comic-bookish (as it should). Hey, the movie was put out by Marvel Studios. The action, effects, and use of technology within the creations of Iron Man is really good, too.

4. Did I mention Robert Downey, Jr. is awesome and HAWT?

5. Downey's supporting cast does a good job, too. I'm not a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow. I think she has the public personality of a rock (don't know her personally--sure she's lovely). However, she does a good job of playing Ms. Pepper Potts.

I want to see it again if anyone wants to go. Heh. Yes, I liked it that much.

I give it four thumbs up out of five. Hey, it did get a little political.

Movie Previews
Dark Knight----OMGOODNESS!!!!! That's all I'm going to say. Well, except that I'll be in Nashville when it comes out, so I'll have to go by myself (definitely looks like a movie to see with someone else, to talk about it).

Indiana Jones----I actually said, "Holy crap" during one part of the preview.

The Spirit----Looks AWESOME!

I need to go calm down now. I'm not used to so much excitement. So, I won't talk about how great I feel today and how I'm building some muscle in my legs and I'm able to walk more.

Yeah...I've had a good week and a good day! :)

Thanks. :)

It was good, wasn't it? I really haven't been disappointed the past year. The closest to disappointment I've come was Sweeney Todd.

I saw neither the Dark Knight trailer OR the long awaited SPIRIT trailer. Now I have to go again.

I think that I'm the only one who liked Sweeney Todd.

I went to the Moorestown Mall if that makes any difference--Regal Theaters/United Artists. I want to see it again, too!

I also saw trailers for the Adam Sandler movie that looks funny and for another movie that I can't remember, darnit.

I liked Sweeney Todd, but they could have kept the music as a secondary part to the movie. It had the potential to be an even darker film had the artistic risk been taken. That's all. In the grand scheme of things in life...it doesn't matter. :)
