I HATE COMPUTERS!!!!!

I'M WRITING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I AM PISSED. NOT DRUNK. ANGRY. I SET UP MY BROKEN COMPUTER. EVERYTHING IS WORKING. I TRY TO INSTALL THE MSN THAT IS ON THE COMPUTER...IT WON'T DO IT. SAYS IT CAN'T FIND A CONNECTION, CHECK MY MODEM, BLAH F****** BLAH!!!!

SO IS IT THE DSL? I CAN'T HAVE BOTH HOOKED UP? GUESS NOT. WILL DSL WORK ON THE OTHER COMPUTER (BROKEN ONE) IF I ONLY HAVE A MODEM HOOKED UP TO MY NEW COMPUTER FOR THE DSL???

I NEED A COMPUTER SUPERHERO! UGH!!!!

Ps...about my sadness/happiness over my friend's engagement: A few years ago my cousin said that if I ever get my own house (whatever) that my family should throw me a shower since I will never get married (should've used quotation marks-those were her exact words). Then, a few weeks ago, one of my other friends, who lives too far away to slap, told me that maybe I'm one of those people who will never meet "the one." I need a drink! A strong drink involving much vodka!!!!!

So I'm guessing that you hooked up the DSL and got it working with the new computer. From there, did you try to hook it into the old (broken) computer?

One thing you might have to do if you switch the connection from one computer to the other is to shut down the DSL modem and start it up again. Most don't have power switches so just pull the plug and then plug it back in.

Mine has a an "on/off" switch. I have both computers going to the same phone jack, too. Do I run the DSL cd in the old computer? Do I do the whole network thing that Windows XP has???

Do I need one more thing to make me squint my eyes and give me a headache?

Thanks, Sssssssssssssteve. Yeah...all the idiotic stuff people say comes back to haunt me at the most awesome times! [sarcasm]

Hey, no one in my family thought my scholastic success was for real. Why should they have anything encouraging to say about my non-existent love-life? As for the friend....she really hurt my feelings. Thus, why I'm so bummed about my one, true friend moving away. I'm rambling...it must be a disease.
