Thank you for your prayers

My dad called yesterday evening to tell me that my aunt decided to settle with him instead of continuing the lawsuit. She decided to do so after his deposition was completed yesterday morning. He was more than generous and fair with her, but in the long run it saves him from further stress and emotional pain. He'll be 70 in November and he doesn't need his wanker of a sister making his life miserable.

When he called, he was so happy that everything was over, and that was good news for me.

I just wanted to thank you all for thinking good thoughts and praying for my dad. This has been a stressful year for him, and I hope that now he can go on a nice long vacation without a care in the world.

What my dad has been dealing with has been consuming him since my grandmother's death, so a little over 18 mos. It was beginning to impact his health, and I just wanted it to stop so he'd feel better. It just felt really good to hear him "happy" again.

1. I have also had the "SUE EVERYBODY" thing going on. Your Dad did the right thing. He'll get more out of just getting out from under his sister's mania.

2. We've also been dealing with Mrs. Deathlok's mother as she appears to be getting set up to have her house wormed out from under her . . .and having it left to her sister instead of Mrs D and her brother. . . I keep telling her "who cares?"

Glad the Lord is shining on your Dad too.

1. He has peace of mind and that's really important. He has two forms of brain damage, both of which he's had since he was a child (born with one via his thyroid and the other due to the effects of experimental medical treatments). He doesn't need my crazy aunt after him, manipulating him, and creating stress that impacts his health. (If I ever see her, she will get a full-on verbal up and down from me.)

2. My dad bought my aun't part of the house a while ago, so he's secure in his housing; although, he would like to move. Right now, it looks like Maryland. My worry was that what was left to him for his care would be taken from him. I'm already helping one parent financially, and can't help both.

I keep praying for that financial miracle, though.

I've been covering my dad in prayer about life after Grandmom since the day after she died.
