Growing up, my radio was my best friend a lot of the time. I've listened to hard rock since I was a little kid. However, I've also listened to more mellow tunes, too. This weekend, one of those mellow voices passed away. Dan Fogelberg died of prostate cancer. He was 56. While it would be cliche to play his biggest hit, "Same Old Lang Syne" (especially because of the season), I want to play "Leader of the Band." It has just really been a song I love to hear come on over the airwaves.
On a related note, gentlemen, I read this weekend that men who have females on the maternal side of their family, that have had breast cancer, run a higher risk of prostate cancer, skin cancer, and of developing breast cancer themselves. Take care of yourselves. :)

Wow, I hadn't heard that he passed away. Many of my childhood memories include Dan Fogelberg because my Mom was a fan of his. I still remember being woken up one morning to one of his songs, the sun was shining and it was just an awesome way to wake up.
Mellow music and sunshine. That is a nice way to wake up. :)
