Fallen in battle

On a visit to Parkway Rest Stop, I read about a milblogger killed in Iraq a few days ago. His name is Andrew Olmsted, and knowing that giving his life in service for our country was a possibility, he had a statement ready to be posted in the event of his death.

Even though I did not know Olmsted, and have never read his blog, I felt compelled to read his statement. I was very moved.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, family, and friends.
