My guess? Since the Revolutionary War is quite past us, I don't think it is a search by one of Washington's men looking for a way to keep warm. My first "real" guess might be some hard up kid from the military academy; but to be honest, it is probably some guy or gal looking for a special Christmas present, one that says, "I was thinking about you when I bought this."
