Harvey Korman passed away today. When I was little, the Carol Burnett Show was a must-watch event. The best part was always waiting to see if Harvey Korman would lose his composure during his sketches, especially the ones with Tim Conway. In honor and in memory of Mr. Korman, I give you one of their most talked about sketches:
NFO You're welcome. Glad you had a moment of laughter.
Wyatt Yes, he was. There was a generation of great creativity, and we are losing them.
Admiral I agree. I loved watching him.
Snigglefrits Yeah, people lack originality and creativity these days. They think blue humor is the only type of funny there is. It is often crass and that takes away from a lot of the funny aspects of their work. People of Korman's generation, while capable of being every bit as blue as today's comedians, were actually funny without it.
That was hilarious! Thanks RT!
ReplyDeleteTerrible, terrible news. He was a comedic icon.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching all those amazing comedians. It was the show where you got it all. A truly sad passing.
ReplyDeleteA lot of fond memories of him.
Oh how I wish we'd return to a time where comedy was actually funny, like when these guys were in their prime.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hilarious video RT.
:)
I remember that sketch it never fails to make me laugh.
